The Occoquan BUCK

Have you seen the Occoquan Buck logo on store windows?

Wonder what it is?

You could be saving a buck on purchases over $10 in over 25 participating shops in Occoquan, including some restaurants!

All you have to do is present a printed buck to the participating shop at checkout. What's the catch? There is none! Just sign up for the OMA newsletter to recieve monthly emails containing the printable buck and print off as many as you like!

Here are the rules: Each buck must be presented and can only be used once. One buck per purchase per participating store. Only valid for merchandise (or food) and does not include discounted items, services, gift certificates, or other non-physical items. Buck has no monetary value and can not be redeemed for cash. May not be combined with other discounts.

Occoquan River Festival - June 26th

Everyone loves the River Festival!

The Occoquan Merchants Association is sponsoring the 3rd Annual River Festival.

Come on down and bring the family to enjoy:

The festival is from 12 - 7PM and has free admission and parking!
So come on down and enjoy a day by the river

This year's Art on the Occoquan was held on May 8th, 2010 from 4 - 8PM. It was featured in numerous newspaper articles and we had a great turn out of artists (Over 39 participants!). It will be even better next year. If you have thoughts or suggestions for next year, don't hesitate to let us know!

2nd Annual Art on the Occoquan

Yes folks, we're doing it again. The 2nd Annual Art on the Occoquan Artwalk event will be held:

Saturday, May 8th 2010 from 4-8PM

We are still accepting applicants for this year's artwalk! If you'd like to participate please email me at OccoquanMerchantsAssociation@gmail.com with a photo of your work to be considered. 2D and 3D artwork and crafts welcome, jewelry will be limited.

It's $35 for non merchant artists for a 10 x 10' space on the end of Mill Street by Rockledge Mansion.

Reservation forms are already coming in! Please join us or come out to the event :-)

2/7 - Kick Off to Super Bowl: A super shopper super bowl party! Come skip the stats! Eat, and get some great deals in town.

2/13, 14 & 15 - Hearts, Beads & America: A lot of great holiday's all on one weekend! Celebrate it in Occoquan. Valentine's gifts, Mardi Gras parties, and patriotic decor-- you can find it in Occoquan.

3/13 - Spring into Fashion: A Fashion show featuring all of Occoquan's couture. An evening event.

Eggstravaganza in Occoquan: An Easter celebration for the little ones.

5/2 - Second Annual Art on the Occoquan: Local Artists with their work for sale and on display throughout town. Food and open house events in the galleries.
